July Fourth 2006

Well it's here again this year
Get out the fire crackers and the beer
There'll be explosions to bust your ear
So after the celebrating no one can hear

Did I mention that the fourth is my birthday
Yup I was born with a great big bang
On my day everyone puts on a display
Oh, yes, this is the day that freedom rang

It's America's birthday too, you know
I share my birthday with her every year
Run the flag up the flagpole and let it show
Everyone that this day we revere

Yup it's our birthday on the fourth of July
Light those fire crackers and make them loud
Light those big rockets and let them fly
Higher and higher right through the cloud

America, America, land that I love
You know I raise my glass to thee
Way,way up high to the heaven above
On this day I am seventy three.
