who's the fool, by beccamarie Subscribe to rss feed for beccamarie

you loved me.
and i walked away.
you kissed me
and i walked away.
you cared
and i walked away.
you hugged me
and i walked away.
you held me
and i walked away.
because i'm stronger now
and i'm wiser now.
and everything makes more sense now.
because when i loved you for the first time.
and when i kissed you
and cared for you
and hugged you
and held you
all for the first time
i was nothing but a fool
and you were just playing a game.
so now look at the fool
and he watches me
walk away
like a video playing back
exactly what used to be
except the roles were switched
and you were me
so now look
look at who's left crying alone
look who's left holding nothing
nothing but feathers and cloth
they'll catch your tears
but not like i could
they'll give you comfort
but not like i could
but i'm stronger now.
i won't fall for it now.
so look who's the fool.
with the funny little hat
look who's strong
and won't play the fool.
