To lose one's self within their thought
Move towards what is not known
A search that's hidden in the dark
Until a light at the end is shown
Oh how to know what these thoughts tell
When they entangle, and they entwine
The truth is not flourescently marked
But only from darkness is allowed to shine
Separate the reality through which you walk
And the fantasies running in your mind
To know what's passed and percieve what's to come
Enlightenment of a different kind
And it's not a quest to know oneself
It's a need to ease the fear
A child who reaches through the air
Towards what is ever near
The blind who walks a straight line
Never seeing what stands a round
