Heart Dust, by Lunaria Subscribe to rss feed for Lunaria

Heart Dust

The sun breaks through a cloudy sky

Or did the wind blow the cloud by

Either way the sun does shine

On this broken heart of mine

Broken in many pieces small

So you can't see them at all

Heart dust blowing through the air

Blowing on it's way to no where

No where will my heart dust lie

With out my heart I will die

Why did you come into my life?

Causing me pain and so much strife

Then you left without goodbye

Telling me no reason why

Why did you come, why did you leave

Give me some answers will you please?

You pretended to be my only love

Sent by the angels up above

Did you lie or was I mistaken?

I feel so very alone, forsaken

You were real as real could be

At least that's the way it was to me

You loved me and gave me your heart

Now mine is in pieces, blown apart

Heart dust blown by the wind

We are now no longer twinned

Another has come to claim your place

But I cannot remember his face

Maybe he will gather my heart dust in

And maybe he is my real twin

I cannot know until you speak

Telling me the answers that I seek

No one can speak but the two of you

Which one is my love so true

Speak up now or I shall die

Not knowing which is truth or lie.
