Ignorance, by blackflamingo Subscribe to rss feed for blackflamingo

Your mouth is stitched shut.
Ugly strings of illiteracy and
Disregard sewn into you, disfiguring
Your mind like an unrequited love.

Peer pressure rapes your
Submissive body until you
Are no longer unique. Just
A tiny, insignificant fraction
Of everyone and everything else.

Those who think they are intelligent
Pound their “knowledge” into you
Until you can do nought but agree.
But there are some who fight.
And yet,

As much as we think we know,
We cannot teach ourselves
And so we all succumb to
Ignorance. A worldwide disease.
