I have a friend
Who is alway there
and he always cares.
My friend gives me comfort
and helps me have contentment.
My friend gives courage
when he gives me correction.
He helps me not to fear Death
and not to hate my enemies.
He gives me the faith I need
while his faithfulness is hard to see.
He provides food and clothing
and plenty of forgiveness which I need.
He tells me not to gossip
because he wants me to grow in grace.
He gives me all the guidance
to turn away from guilt.
He helps me with all my troubles
and wants me to be honest
with all the hope within.
He helps me to have hospitality
and serve with humility.
My friend is a jealous friend
but filled with joy.
He takes away the loneliness
with the Holy spirit within.
He wants me to love Him
and have plenty of brotherly love.
He wants me to put away lying and lust
and have plenty of mercy and meekness.
He fills me with patience and peace
and much needed prayer and pride.
My friend gives me protection
from my self-righteousness and sin.
So I don't have to be ashamed
and I can have freedom from sin.
He asks me to seek Him
so I can have success, trust and wisdom.
That is my friend
I hope you know him too.
I have a friend his name is Jesus.
