Mirror in the Window, by Subscribe to rss feed for

It smelled good
It smelled like life
It felt good
It felt like hope
When I looked out the window
I searched for love
What was to be seen over frosted lake and snowy mountain?
For there seemed nothing
But in the blinding white a small speck appeared
The smell strengthened and the hope grew
The black speck seemed to come walking toward me
At first I feared it might be a lie
But then I dreamed it might be truth
The speck grew larger until I could plainly see
The thing appeared to be me
I thought myself crazy and closed the blinds
"It's impossible" I said
But things are only impossible to closed minds
I opened my eyes and the blinds once more
Down I looked and saw the speck standing by my door
"Who are you" I asked
"Why I am you" the vision answered me
"It cannot be true for I am here"
"When you look in a mirror there are two faces. The one you
are and the one who only appears for a time" Myself said to
I
"Why are you here?" I asked troubled
"Why you asked for life, you asked for hope, you asked for
love. I answered your questions; for in you lies life,
unharmed. In you lies hope, untouched and love unspoiled.
In you is everything you've ever asked for. For a time it
appeared unrecieved, only because you could not see
yourself"
