Fairytales, by longingchainsme Subscribe to rss feed for longingchainsme

Fairy tales tell so well
The lives we'd hope to lead
Saved from the tower in which we cry
By our prince and a noble steed

Try as we may we fight and fight
To harbor this fictional life
In the end all we gain
Is an innner confliction or strife

The perfection the novelists write
Aren't made for you and me
They're made for the children with a chance
To grow up careless and free

When we are young we have this chance
To not end up like this
By this I mean a hollow shell
Or the rich man who's a priss

The oppertunity quickly slips
Between our fragile minds
With knowledge of life we gain power
Thats not all that may we find

We find a life not worth living
Seeing it come to an end
We find a yearning for a truth
That cannot break but only mend
