Past To Present, by HangmanTheory Subscribe to rss feed for HangmanTheory

From past to present,
I’ve noticed some things,
Oh, nothing’s what it used to be.
I used to have it all,
But now it’s you and not me.
You were someone,
Who I used to call my friend,
It was always us,
From start to end.
What happened is a blur,
Farther apart we drew.
The more this happened,
The less we knew.
But from then I’ve learned,
Back then I wasn’t the best.
Maybe that’s why,
You moved on to all the rest.
I don’t know if you see,
How we’ve drifted apart,
Or the toll it’s taken.
It’s murdered my heart.
When you look deep inside,
Then you’ll see,
All my pain,
And the hell it’s been for me.
