Christmas, by Dee Becker Subscribe to rss feed for Dee Becker

As Christmas draws near.
I wants and Gotta haves abound
for everyone to hear.
Stores are filled with things
to tease the mind.
Some are needs and some are frills
but a lot are best left alone.
Music fills the air with joy
As shoppers scurry around
Filling sacks with happiness.
Gifts are piled beneath the bright shining tree.
Children are the curious ones
As they say what's in there for me?
Wait:
We must remember
that this very special day
holds a much bigger meaning
of why we celebrate.
God sent his Son Jesus
to love each one of us here on earth
And we in turn should accept him.
As we celebrate His birth.
With prayers we look to Heaven
and send our thanks to God
for sending His Son, Jesus
to walk with us on this earth today.
