Come Away With Me, by Abby Fischer Subscribe to rss feed for Abby Fischer

You are the lily of my valley; come my lover, come
You are the fairest of ten thousand, oh beloved one
When I sleep, my heart awakens; listening for my love
In the cleft upon the mountain, you call me your dove

Come away, come away with me

I am yours and you are mine; you’re taking me away
When I am lost in your embrace, there’s nothing I can say
Gazing on your radiance, I’m breathless and amazed
You stole my heart, oh King of mine; I’m in a lovesick
daze

Run away, run away with me

I hear your voice, it calls to me: “Arise, my perfect
one”
Day breaks forth and shadows flee; He beckons me to come
Now we will run the rugged hills and soar the open sky
You lift me on your wings of love; in freedom I can fly

Come to me, come to me, my Dove

Dance with me, my lovely one, though dark I may appear
My love calls me His flawless one and beckons me to hear
His voice is sweet with dripping myrrh
So lovely is His face
He looks at me, I’m overwhelmed
I long for His embrace

Let me fall, let me fall in love

Turn your eyes, my heart grows faint
I’m weakened with one glance
Refresh me with your tender touch; I’m lost in your
romance
My heart cries for my Lover in the watches of the night
You’ve ravished me and set me free, you are my one
delight

Come away, come away with me

I enjoyed this poem it reminds me of a sonnet or a poem that a princess wrote in a high tower lol sorry i thought it was very sweet idealistic love! x
