The lonely path ahead looms before me like an archway of
fear
Leaves are pushed along by a heavy, old wind
A heavy pall is the mist, lingering like a lovesick
stranger
For this place is old, full of memories, bad, good and
unspeakable
Many feet have walked this path, yet it seems so forgotten
As my neglected feet trudge, step by step by step by step
Dust stirs like the rise of an old one from a long long
rest
I cry for the fogotten times, memories of old
Walking along this lonely path makes me feel somehow,
youthfull, remembered
Never before have such memories been stirred up from such a
melancholy sight
Yet despite that, it seems so peaceful....
Hanging branches loom, like the doom of eventually being
forgotten
The yearning for being remembered as someone great, not as
someone old, full of memories
This feeling is more evident than the air around,
The air older than the feelings of love, one that died, that
lost its way
So
Bowing to the inevitable, i remember the old, awakened by
the ancient scene around me
I weep for what I have lost and for when i'm lost to
someone....everyone
