This Dad was Mine, by rob Subscribe to rss feed for rob

Once upon a time, he said
As he laid me down to bed
As the story came to its end
Sleep hovered near as a friend
He put his hand upon my head
And this he softy said
Sweet dreams dear child of mine
What a treasure I have found
Then quietly without a sound
I Fell asleep knowing this dad was mine

I love this poem! It reminded me just how much my dad has always been there. Thanks.
