Him!, by No Child Is Innocent Once Born Subscribe to rss feed for No Child Is Innocent Once Born

Walking home on my own,
No signal on my phone,
My feet are aching, I stop and rest
For company, Robin red breast.

A man walking, stops and stares,
His clothes a little worse for wear.
From his mouth he breathes smoke
Now I wish that it made him choke.

He sat beside me, gave me a smile,
And then our eyes locked for a while.
His mobile rang, he answered it
I got up as another fag he lit.

Wanting to get home, thinking ahead,
A cup of coco, a book and bed.
Peace and quiet, not a sound
That was until I hit to the ground.

The man was there, his face over me.
A bag over my eyes; I could not see.
His cold rough hands undid my blouse
“Yes, yes, yes” he said aloud.

My body’s freezing, the air too cold
I try to run but he has me a hold.
He’s undoing his trousers, I’m so afraid,
I’m only fourteen, I can’t get laid!

9 months later, here I am,
Feeding a baby, bottle in hand.
I can’t go out, I have 2 stay in,
‘Cause now I’m a mum, a mum at 14!!

interesting, I hope that it isn't true but I know a couple people where this is their life, taking care of a child when they are but still one

Whoever wrote that first message is an inconsiderate ass-hole anyway. The poem is excellent, it has substance and reality that doesn't exsist in anything nowa' days, I gave it a nine
