Summer Love, by No Child Is Innocent Once Born Subscribe to rss feed for No Child Is Innocent Once Born

The stars shone down from above
As together we made love.
Your skin was soft, your mouth was wet
I remember everything even yet.
You held me close and you held me tight
You kept me safe all through the night
I yearned for you and you yearned for me
As nature sang its melody.

It felt so good, it felt so right
Lying there that summer night
I woke the next morning, sun in the sky
But you weren’t there, I wonder why.
When did you leave, why did you go
My mothering mind still wants to know.
I stare out the window at the passers by
And let out a sigh while our baby cries.
