the moonlight shining on her now, illuminating her pale body
in the shadows. she had had enough of living in pain, the
hurt she felt was overwhelming her and she couldn't cope
anymore. she wept, tears racked with guilt and sorrow for
the one she was failing, the one who had given her the
strength to carry on. but even this wasn't enough anymore.
she was numb, she wanted nothing else but the endless
darkness that she could give herself. she knew it was
selfish, but she didn't care, there was so little point to
her existance that this seemed like the only thing that made
sense. carefully writing a small note in her ornate
handwriting to the one she loved, explaining things, or at
least trying, telling him she loved him. she placed it in an
envelope and sealed it. leaning against the tree in it's
comforting shadow, she removed a small blade from her
pocket. that blade would soon be the one that took her life
away. concentrating on thoughts of him, she pressed the
blade against her wrist. twisting, she severed the veins and
watched the blood swell slowly at first. concentrating
harder on her thoughts, she took one final aim, this time
for her neck, and as the blade effortlessly glided thorugh
her skin, so the blackness closed in. tears rolling down her
cheek, she dropped the blade and with the last of her
strength she lay down and closed her eyes, slipping away...
