At Ten AM, the young student
scatters down the hallway in a hurry
Inside the walls of the
Concrete institution that is her school.

Rounding the corner with her eyes to the floor
Dodging the chatterboxes that gather there
as she clutches her book as if in fear of it
being taken away
I would compare her to a mouse:
quiet,conservative & nervous.
To her relief, she reaches her destination:
the classroom.
...Now, I can exhale...

I liked it because it was a perspective that most people overlook. just another reason why people should learn to listen. That'll be me next year!
