Tears, by #$@*silent RiOt*@$# Subscribe to rss feed for #$@*silent RiOt*@$#

Streams of water run down my cheeks staining my cuffs
When happiness fades
I falter and I've had about enough
At night when I lay my head
all worries disappear
but then the dam is broken and
I'm drowning in a sea of tears
'Be strong, don't cry'
is a promise I've been trying to keep
But the things I don't do when I'm concious
are done when I'm asleep
Cuz tears are the emotional residue that linger
on my eyelashes right before my soul bowled
over in a rainstorm of clear silver gelcaps
Tears are birds that free themselves from
their lacrimal cages only to settle atop ones
chin, making it quiver with birdsong
Tears are reminders that our soul's towel has
held too much for its own good and some needs
to be squeezed out before it's too late
Tears were what she used to speak to me over
the phone with when she said that life was no
longer worth living
My tears were the reaction to her sudden
conlusion
Cuz see saltwater seeping from the
almond-shaped oceans of my eyes are
the only things I find comfort in
when faith dissipates
and my patience is worn thin
