they claim, by shannon barry Subscribe to rss feed for shannon barry

THEY tell us we have a voice
but then they say shut up
THEY tell us to stand up
but then they say sit down
THEY say everyone is pretty
then they body shame us
THEY say they will treat us equal
but then they pay us less
THEY say we are people
then they treat us like sexaul objects
THEY say they asked for consent
but they didn’t
THEY say they’re not sexist
but then they say something like “go to the kitchen”
THEY say that they want us to move up in society
but they don’t give us a chance
THEY say that we own our bodies
but then they treat us like property
THEY say they want us in office
but then they won’t elect us
THEY say they’re feminists
but just want to talk and not take action
THEY say we can march
but then one person does something wrong, it's our fault
THEY say it will change in the future
but the future is now and I don’t see a change
I didn’t have to say who THEY and us were but somehow you
knew?
