The day you were born
You touched our heart with joy
You were an unexpected surprise
Our little 8 pound boy

Those beautiful blue eyes
Staring at us in awe
Gazing at the people
Who just became dad and mom

As days turn to months
And months soon to years
We will watched you grow
Wiping away your tears

When you've grown into a man
You must take the next step
All those years that went by
In our heart they're kept
