Ode to Dreams, by Where The World Ends Subscribe to rss feed for Where The World Ends

Dreams can creep
And dreams can crawl
But they also skip
Upon the wall
Of all your thoughts
And memories
And dive into
Your hopes and dreams
And soar through your fantasies
They scramble into the depths
Of your greatest inventions
And skip stones in the pond
Of your latest reflections
And slip into your social connections
And wade right through
Your walls of protection
Oh, and did I forget to mention?
When it’s your mind at work
Privacy gets paid no attention
They take this from your heart
And that from your mind
This from your senses
And whatever else they may find
They spin some thread
And weave some wool
Mix some colors
And cook some gruel
And when they’ve decided
They’ve done enough
The result you may find
To be some real crazy stuff
To me, dreams are like
Wild adventures
There are babbling brooks
And flowing streams
Fire breathing dragons
And walking machines
My adventure awaits me
I must now say goodnight
I wonder what crazy concoctions
They will brew up this night
