The shadow that lingers
In the purest of souls
A darkness no light
Can penetrate
A black cloaked figure
Casts shadows on a face
Just enough
For a story untold
The eternal quest
For the nonexistent best
Only puts in sharper relief
And those who attempt
To plunder it
Will experience life, brief
