Lies of Necessity , by DP Subscribe to rss feed for DP

Hushed tones they speak,
They know it'll be okay,
But they don't.
Because it won't.
And it will never be in any lifetime of mine.

They, the undecided they, say it's okay.
They speak their hushed voices,
Overtop all the noises,
But their voices are lies,
And in their eyes,
True melancholy shows through.

They really don't care,
They are drones of the world,
Speaking to I,
Of bare necessity.
They feed me a lifeline,
Full of lies,
And nothing more.

Then again,
Isn't that all I ever hear?
