Hello Orion, by Roderick Veach Subscribe to rss feed for Roderick Veach

they say god works in mysterious ways
or maybe we're raised as toddlers from cradle to the grave
to not comprehend
these things we should easily understand

death is a fable we all tell ourselves
always a boogie man, who's not really there
there's nothing to fear
cause in the end we're not really here

hello night sky, hello infinity
I postulate a thought
and it reverberates back to me

hello Orion, hello galaxy
never an answer
so I take a breath and count to three

is anybody there, is anybody there

caught up in the rat race they tell you what to breath
the composition of your thoughts
are two parts gasoline and one part affair
you know they tell you when to care

in opposition to dharma's natural right
you'd be ashamed of yourself
but you're so desensitized
you've never been told
that's there's a balance on your soul

hello night sky, hello infinity
I postulate a thought
and it reverberates back to me

hello Orion, hello galaxy
never an answer
so I take a breath and count to three

is anybody there, is anybody there

am I getting through

Is anybody there
