The Different You, by Maren Subscribe to rss feed for Maren

On the outside
you try to be okay
you try to look alright
you try to seem happy.

But inside
you're crying
you're dying
you're always sying.

On the outside
you're strong
you're independant
like a grown-up.

But inside
you're confused
you're weak and small
just like a child.

On the outside
you tell it's over
you tell it's done
you're you again.

But inside
you still care
you still love
everything's still there.

On the outside
you don't forgive
you do forget
you don't regret.

But inside
it's never gone
you feel undone
like incomplete.

On the outside
you're one person.

But inside
you know there's
someone else
the one nobody knows.
