The Colors of Love and Death, by ezimmerman Subscribe to rss feed for ezimmerman

Give me a different kind of color
A color that is like no other
One with the softness of a soothing lover
One with unfamiliar places to discover
A fire with a different flame
A face with a different name
Black stormy clouds, red fiery sunset of the skies
Or the tender ache hiding in your weary eyes
The glistening gold of the streets of heaven
The unfailing urgency of a rabid obsession
The blue depths of shadows and sweet surprise
The fleeting fancies of our ultimate demise

From this color is produced a pure and simple sound
A sound that contains infinite bliss to be found
One that bounces off the wall and furiously shakes the
ground
One that seeps through the cracks and knows no bounds
A drama with a different cast
A rifle with a different blast
Thunderous cheers and jeers as angels and demons rejoice
Or the smooth vibrations of your gentle voice
The enormous hall with the finest acoustics
The liberating release of the beautiful music
The piercing shrill of a desperate scream
The wondrous melodies of a peaceful dream

Along with this sound comes a deliberate action
An action that breeds the strongest of passions
One with the prize of complete satisfaction
One that creates a shocking reaction
A grip with a different clutch
A hand with a different touch
Cruel, obscene force inflicted upon an innocent face
Or the intense intimacy of your warm embrace
The indulgence of excesses that nullify our senses
The pulling of a trigger at others' casual expense
The explosive pressure of a haunting kiss
The terror of a fateful leap into the abyss

Followed by this action comes a deep emotion
An emotion that cannot be evoked by any kind of potion
One that carries with it trials of devotion
One like the L.A. sun on my face down by the ocean
A smile with a different glow
A feeling with a different flow
Vengeful kiss of death delivered from the Lord above
Or the unparalleled effect of your limitless love
The joy of two souls feeling the same sensation
The lustful urge of a transfixed fascination
The enduring bond of trust that cannot be undone
The insatiable pain of leaving our world to be permanently
numb

Oh sweet, lovely woman that I long for
Won't you please come around and open up the door?
We would be so alive and free together
In the color of death, our love would last forever

Give me that indescribable feeling
The one that shoots me right through the ceiling
Stand with me to take on death
As we inhale life with every breath
Grant me that burning emotion
The one that cannot be produced by a potion
Show me that overwhelming action
The one that conveys the potency of our attraction
Play me that magnificent sound
The one that lets me know you will always be around
Give me that beautiful color
The shade of the rainbow that has not been discovered

I want to see this different kind of color
The color that is like no other
One with unfamiliar places to discover
The color of a beautiful friend who is forever my lover
