As I sit
I am witness to their pain
All the aspirations and deep yearnings
That pour forth
In bodily discomfort
Waiting for some answers
A re-boot or
Complete transformation
To something more acceptable
My task is to
Witness their whole being
Stay present
Listen and respond
Provide the strokes
Hold the space
Speak the truth
And let go of all expectations
So a dear one
Can reach out
And be touched
