I am a Puppy Dog, by far2lost Subscribe to rss feed for far2lost

Such a silly thought
I am almost the literal puppy dog
Some source of love that ought
That'll make your heart clog
And joyful tears run down your cheek
As I wait at home for your call
It's your attention that I seek
Beckoning for you to throw me that ball
I am that dog seeking your love
I'll go through vacuums and thieves
From chasing a squirrel or dove
There's always a bit that never leaves
And that is the longing that endures
From this lowly mutt that while waiting will furl
You always have that affection that lures
Me to wait for my dream girl.
