Love And Fear, by Shauna DesJardins Subscribe to rss feed for Shauna DesJardins

When asked what I fear
I answered with the normal;
Spiders, water, dark, bees.
I later told you I mainly fear love.

What I didn't say though is that
I love you even if
I sometimes wish it wasn't true,
My heart yearns for you.

I love you much more then I ever thought possible.
I love you much more than a lonely heart should.
I may never tell you, even if asked,
In fear I'd scare you away.

But all the pieces of my frail and broken heart,
Come back together for a while when we're together.
I love you I do, yes I love you it's true.
So next time maybe when you say

"I love you" I'll let down my walls and say
"I love you too"
But if that day ceases to come,
I wish you well and hope you know,

I do love you.
I love you with every last piece
Of my shredded heart.
I always have and I always will.
