Floodlights, by My.Lovenote.Has.Gone.Flat.XO Subscribe to rss feed for My.Lovenote.Has.Gone.Flat.XO

floodlights shine
on silver roofs of cars
an old friend passes me by
with his life in his arms

the broken home of my best friend
is only footsteps away
i'm sure if i concentrate
i could hear her silence

if my whole life
is slowly fading scars
will i fade with them?
is there need for fresh wounds?

the barely breathing home of my best friend
is miles and hours away
i'm sure if you listen hard
you could hear his desperate plea

my whole life
is slowly fading scars
i will fade with them
there is need for fresh wounds.

so consider me alive
its better you are blind
keep thinking im happy
its best you never know

when the floodlights die
the summer turns to rain
when the floodlights die
this song will end
when the floodlights die
my suffering will end
floodlights die.

this is the end.
