It has been too long since last I lost myself in the dark
Hands out wide and fingers apart
groping for for stablity for peace, never leaving a mark
Laying down to sleep, slowed has the beating of my heart

What is this feeling that has gripped me tight
breath being forced from my chest 
my absence from life being ever so slight
Life never meant for my heart to be at rest

I have been awakened inside once more 
given my second chance to walk among this world 
it has taken me long enough to realize what im here for 
alone in the dark lost in search, prone and curled
