Faerie Girl, by StarFaerie Subscribe to rss feed for StarFaerie

Can I be your Faerie Girl?
Your angel in the woods?
The one you think of late at night
Who haunts you in your dreams

The one who no-one ever thought
Could be captured, tamed
Not with snare did you succeed
But with ribbon, crimson-stained

The shine against the fading moon
The light breeze on your brow
See now, half-felt memories
From times long-gone from now

Where I a Faerie, thou a Knight
Maybe once did meet
In some quiet, woodland vale
No thought spared to retreat

A tryst between two different worlds
A storyline over-used
But as I sleep and dream and think
Maybe not quite so abused

Because we stand in modern time
Does not prevent the tale's unfurl
And I can't help but ask my love
Can I be your Faerie Girl?
