chess game, by eleanor maslen Subscribe to rss feed for eleanor maslen

This little girl feels no more pain,
no empty words nor pouring rain.

This litte girl cries no more no less
im trying hard im trying my best.

This little girl's dreams scare her still
and she knows deep down they always will.

She will never escape her future her past
this pain his here and forever will last

You dont see her sad or broken at all
because her mind is strong, a towering brick wall

You only see what she is willing to give
and at the moment its so hard for her to live

her eyes grow dark at the mention of his name
she was a pawn in his living chess game

Broken by the king and shauned by the queen
no one to help her but her own dieing screams

Her knight never came, to many spaces away
never got close enough, never wanted to stay

So what does she do? the girl with no soul?
shes going to die, alone and so cold.
