Confused Fly, by jwhwz Subscribe to rss feed for jwhwz

This confused fly doesn't know where to land;
Because each person waves him away wirh his or her hand;
Which is something he cannot stand.

He's just trying to get something to eat;
He wants to find something sweet;
He'd like a dessert treat.

But, people don't want him to taste their food and drinks;
Because they think that insects stink.
They would never give him a wink.

So, they try to slap him with a swatter;
Or they hang sticky paper up, or put out hot, sugar water.
Parents don't want him around their baby daughter.

For, no one likes a fly in the house;
It buzzes as noisily as a mouse.
It's as annoying as a louse.

So, this confused fly is going to get lost;
For, he doesn't want to pay his life as the cost.
He doesn't want, by people, to be bossed.

No one likes a fly annoying;
It isn't a part of nature for enjoying.
It's all right sometimes to be rude; but, no one wants a fly
in his or her food!
