Shakey and Snappy, by jwhwz Subscribe to rss feed for jwhwz

Shakey and Snappy; what a pair;
One has a little; one has no hair!

Shakey has been my friend for quite a long time;
That is why he inspires rhyme.

Shakey once adopted a turtle snapping;
He kept it in his apartment while he was awake and napping.

He followed it around his apartment like a kid;
It was so small that, often, it hid.

I gave him a note on the day of my common-law wedding;
Which made him happy; it wasn't upsetting.

On that day, I left the short poem on his chair;
Because, at the time I came over; he wasn't sitting there.

I'm glad that sometimes I can make Shakey smile;
For, he doesn't think he'll be on this earth for a long
while.

Shakey loves children, as well as little pets;
His doting all depends on how inebriated he gets.

I don't care how much he drinks;
Because, he always thinks and thinks.

He is one of the best friends I've ever had;
He reminds me a lot of my Dad.

Shakey will always be in my heart;
Even after the day when, from this world, he will depart.
