Teen in Me: Poem #2: My Period, by jwhwz Subscribe to rss feed for jwhwz

I remember the day I got my period;
Boy, I really felt like mud.
I had a little bit of pain;
It was enough to make a girl go insane.
My Mom let me stay home from school;
But, she really wasn't a fool.
She told me I wasn't really sick;
She didn't tell me it would be over quick(ly).
I thought it would last forever;
And that it would end; never.
Sometimes my period makes me cry;
When all I want to do is spread my wings and fly.
I hope my time of the month doesn't get worse;
Because I hate carrying stupid pads in my purse!
