Oh, wouldn't it be lovely if there were a heart; That would never tear or fall apart. Oh, wouldn't it be lovely if you could only draw a rosebud with a pencil; But later, you could see all of the petals when you used a stencil. Oh, wouldn't it be lovely if you could make an empty vase; And fill it up with flowers; it would put a smile on your face. Oh, wouldn't it be lovely if a pillow as hard as a rock; Were made into a comfortable one by using bath tissure and a sock. Oh, wouldn't it be lovely if a letter were written with a pencil; not a pen; You made a mistake, and you could erase and begin again. Oh, wouldn't it be lovely if you drew a square; You decided you didn't like it; and you used, instead, a ruler beside your chair.
