A Town in the Valley, by Lisa Marie Cole Subscribe to rss feed for Lisa Marie Cole

I will miss your face
Left, is an empty space
Soon under new skies
Those twinkling devilish deep brown eyes
Will no longer see my town and my face
But survey a new life and a new place

I will remember walks and talks
Along the streets of my town
The delta breeze would blow,
Where we'd end up, who'd know
Maybe to a caramel apple shop
Maybe to a bar off an alley
But, I will remember when you walked with me
In my town in the Valley

If your road should bring you back one day
From fair aspens to fair oaks
Welcome and I love you is what I'd say
Here, you'll always have a home
So, I will keep a light on for you
To guide you back to me
Where we first became friends
In my town in the Valley

If I dont see you again
Take good care of my friend
He meant a great deal to me
In my heart, and my memory
And, in walks and in talks
In my town in the Valley
