There's no reason to carry the world
Heaving it upon your shoulders
Letting each pebble that kicks up
Roll over you like boulders
There's no use crying a river
When a simple tear will do
Or hating yourself for your mistakes
Or expectations you have too
Theres not excuse to hang your head
And wear shame on your sleeve
Let what you've done define you
And the pain will never leave
Leave anger at the doorsteps
Of love and confidence
Let happiness into your heart
And she'll tear down the fence.
Let her take the world from you
Collect your pebbles in a jar
Then throw them in the ocean
And carry you thus far
Let her soft hands massage your back
Use her dress to wipe your tears
She'll love you in the hardest times
She'll destroy your fears.
