Letter to Cupid (Song), by Distant Lover Subscribe to rss feed for Distant Lover

Verse 1:
You just had to shoot me with your damn arrow, didn't you?
Well sir, go right ahead and shoot at my heart all you like
and want,
For there is no way in Hell that I'd ever fall for that boy
again!

Chorus:
Believe me when I tell you this, Mr. Love Man, that my
feelings for him have passed and gone.
It's gotten to the point where almost every time I hear his
name, my soul cringes due to the repressed memories it
brings back.
So please Cupid, shoot your arrow at another boy!

Verse 2:
Look man, I completely understand that you are attempting to
fix my single condition, but you can shoot a much better boy
for me!
Mr. Love Man, this crude joke of yours has gotten too far,
for you can do a lot better.
Everyone, including both you and him, knows that that boy is
bad news.
So what makes you think that he'd change his ways for me?

Bridge:
Cupid, please understand that I am not such a fool,
So please, with all your will and might, stop making my
heart flutter for the boy who causes so much harm!
This joke of yours will not end well, for my heart is bound
to shatter,
And this time, good sir, it will be permanent.

Chorus:
Believe me when I tell you this, Mr. Love Man, that my
feelings for him have passed and gone.
It's gotten to the point where almost every time I hear his
name, my soul cringes due to the repressed memories it
brings back.
So please Cupid, shoot your arrow at another boy!
