Dear Mom, how are are things with you? Are you getting by
with what little you have..I will try to send more next
time. I couldn't find the shoes or the jacket you wanted
(exactly) but at least I sent the stamps..try not to think
about the past and the hard times, try to prepare for the
future and think only of positive things. (you can practice
on me if you want) I am doing ok, got promoted at work,
planning to move soon so money is tight...

I wish you weren't in jail...Two years is a long time...
(again)

Five years is a long time to be in foster homes, away from
my brothers...away from you

yet you choose drugs over me, loss over love, addiction -
your nirvana - over meat and potatoes...

I will be a great mom.

I will not be you.
