To Believe or To Know, by moondaisy Subscribe to rss feed for moondaisy

I still wish apon start,
I have yet to grow up.
I still wish upon shooting start,
I have yet to grow old.

I still sit down,
Stretch my legs out,
To tie my shoe laces.
I always want to feel like a child.

I'm not afraid to grow old,
No!
I'm afraid of what growing older will do.

I want to feel young enough,
To still believe in angles,
and fairies.
To believe that there is something under my bed.
To feel protected,
But old enough to protect you.

I want to remember what it was like
To think that the smell of a flower
Was the best thing to sniff.
And that every road,
Lead somewhere with no dead end.

We live in two worlds,
That of a child's,
Who gain the knowledge of an adult.
