A GRANDSON’S SMILE, by michelle hoult Subscribe to rss feed for michelle hoult

One so small yet perfect
Illuminates the room
Insurmountable smile
No clouded curtains when he’s near
Instincts and reflexes on automatic
He melts my heart
Our friendship is sealed
We mirror movement
Performing expressions we become an extension
With growing trust he smiles
With playful will he flourishes
Watched with care and love
Our authentic bond is formed
Others will look upon us
My grandson and I will stare and smile
We are mindful of others
Yet absorbed in play and loyalty
With seldom created turmoil
The heroine and the hero ride
High above the world
With playful smiles
