A Veteran's courage, by Felicia Subscribe to rss feed for Felicia

In Flanders field their body's fell,
Their lives lost to set us free.
The tears they cried and blood they shed
gave us the liberty we have today.

In exchange they ask nothing,
wile the days pass and the gratitude dies.
Once a year we reminisce the lives lost,
and the victory's that molded our country.

Today I will stop, and every tomorrow.
I will stand and be silent for those who were silenced .
I will hold my hand over my heart,
for those who hearts broke.

Because we are free, I will live for those who couldn't.
By the strength you showed, I will be strengthened.
From your courage I will draw mine,
And for that you will remain forever in my heart.
