I am woman hear me roar
For years we have tried to even out the score
It’s a never ending war
When they think every female is a whore
People think it’s not like that anymore
True respect has started to soar
But will the bad reputation ever drop dead to the floor

Before
Much achievement was gained
Along would come the hit
Eyes filled with spit
Use and abuse
Huge black and blue bruise
It’s not new news
To for him to excuse

His own behavior
And believe he is a savior

Women of the clan
American
Have made much progress
To transgress
Over laws that brought feminine distress
I must confess
They are only few
That has said ado
To the masculine curfew

Women across seas
Are constantly seized
By men and their weakening diseased
They need our help
Because they are forbidden to yelp

Why should some be free
And equal
While other cry and plea
To prevent a sequel

I am woman hear me roar
And aid me to even the score
Across the world
