paint me a picture, please?, by georgina. Subscribe to rss feed for georgina.

If my words could paint a picture
Of every detail I take in
The day-to-day world that surrounds me
And the symmetry within
I would pick my colours extra wise
Taking note of beauty and of sin
Select only the most radiant
And let the artistic magic begin

I'd start by telling the canvas
As blank as the day you're born
How clear crystal clear the sky is today
A shade of light denim but slightly worn.
The contrasting tree's propose a problem
As they steal the pureness of the light
But the light never stops cascading
Though rays can't be caught by sight
A tree, a flower, a leaf all challenging gravity
Nothing tries pull them down
They spiral sky high to their peak
Oblivious to the distant hum of the town
Radiant flowers, so delicate against the wind
Birds adding to the sensuality
My eyes start to skip the detail
As it all fades back into reality
