Deceptive Smile, by CherryFender Subscribe to rss feed for CherryFender

A smiling girl sitting all alone.
She's truly twisted, her happiness smudged.
A blade caressing her arm,
old scars twinkling through her eyes.

Cold, smooth metal tracing over her fresh skin...
It's not breaking through but she closes her eyes with a
smile
A joy, an exhilaration, an excitement...surges through her.

Oh the thought,
a blade piercing the skin,
splitting apart the blood rises to the air,
rich red seeping up, her fingers trace the warmth..
Warm liquid slowly dripping over her arm
other long scabs of old cuts being drowned in red.

Her eyes are forced open
pushing away the thoughts, blinding her with reality
The warmth her fingers trace on her arms are tears
pouring over old scars...
Eyes red and blurred
she collapses to the floor
Crying, I don't ever want to go back there again.
