Lost, by Lorena Bernhardt Subscribe to rss feed for Lorena Bernhardt

There is a mask on my face,
But no one can tell.
The truth it will erase,
And to my knees I fell.
What was meant to protect
Destroys it all.
Now I must let
My defenses fall.
To be born again
And come into this world blind,
Requires a friend
And a safe harbor to find.
So though I've been lost,
A companion I have found
To pick me up when the cost
Has made me hit the ground.
