StarBright, by Anathema Subscribe to rss feed for Anathema

sleep with me, crowded closely,
hands and chests pressed, tight.
i'll take you where you never dreamed you'd be,
surrounded by stars, in infinite space,
in a vessel you could never imagine, come with me...
on my spaceship my body shows the way,
slowly, sweetly, you'll suffocate,
in a void you helped me to create.
stretching lengths of apathy.
drown in my words, tonight,
the ones i'll coat in sugar from my languid candy-lips,
that drop so heavily,
like the tears from my bloodshot eyes.
red like my fingertips from staying up all night,
scratching at the hole where my heart used to be.
these hands that long to hold you,
soon will push you free,
off the edge and into the starlight.
so; happy landings, darling -
you'll get no happiness from me.
