Sorry, by Bleeding Hopelessness Subscribe to rss feed for Bleeding Hopelessness

I am sorry for all the things I could’ve done
Sorry that I could be so much more
I am sorry I can’t be who you want me to be
Sorry that whatever I do right is wrong

I can’t be your cute blonde haired little girl anymore
No more dresses of pink roses and ribbons of white
Haired pulled back as always in the same old style
Nothing but my shirts of black, jeans, and sneakers

I am sorry you think you went wrong with me
Sorry you can’t see the truth in my eyes
I am sorry that you don’t understand me anymore
Sorry that I am better than what you wanted

I won’t be that tiny-waist ballerina you longed for
No tutu that is frilly and pink will ever be on me
Instead words of deep meaning I write and play
My skirts still remain unlike your idea in your fantasy

I am sorry I obeyed your every command
Sorry I didn’t stand up for my rights
I am sorry that all the good I’ve ever done was evil
Sorry I will always be your child
